Indian Filmmaker and Animator Varun Mehta has won International Filmmaking Challenge conducted by Mobile Movie Magazine. The prize money for the competition is 125$. Mehta won the prize for his film 'Diwali - The Festival of Lights'. The Jury of the competition found his film innovative and compelling to win the award. Apart from Mehta, Prakash Narayan Gandhi from US has also won the contest and is the co-winner of the competition.

MobileMovieMaking Magazine’s Holiday Video Contest challenged participants to make a short movie about any special day of the year. After reviewing entries from seven countries, the jury decided that two entries would share the top prize of $250. These winners are Prakash Gandhi Natarajan of the U.S. and Varun Mehta of India, both of whom made mini-docs about Diwali, a popular holiday in India known as the “Festival of Lights.” The two filmmakers approached the subject in different ways, Natarajan relying on visuals and sounds, and Mehta combining visuals with narration.
