The Biggest movie extravaganza has arrived in theaters and without a single doubt, has been breaking records from the very single show released. But after all the craze, Is the hype surrounding the movie really worth it? Yes it is, because this time the makers have taken a different route to present the film. It still has great action, great visual effect, great humor but there is another arc which the film has touched - by giving a great villian in Thanos who thankfully, isn't a stereotype sigh!
You have to give the credit to director Russo brothers to manage an Impossible task of bringing so many superheroes in one frame and giving them equal weight however, some characters get more to do than the other and some characters barely register on the screen but then again, where is the scope and space when there is so much going on? Avengers : Infinity war is basically bang for every buck you are putting into your ticket.
I rather try not to reveal the plot but keep it simple. The main villain Thanos who has been teasing from tiny appearances by previous films finally takes the center stage. He comes out to take back all the infinity stones which could not be taken by his pawns. And now it's the responsibility of every mightiest superhero from earth to stop Thanos from wiping out the universe. Do they succeed? Well watch the film to know that.
Performance wise, everyone is basically superb and I agree with all the reviewers who have put up the thought to have an extra post on the performances alone. Everyone has given their best regardless of the screentime they have been offered. From Robert Downey Jnr (Iron Man) to Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) to Chris Hemsworth (Thor) to Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) to Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) to Paul Bettany (Vision) to Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) to Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) to Tom Holland (Spiderman) and all the actors with cameos have made their mark.
The little disappointment has come for the fans of Chris Evans (Captain America) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) who deserved more punch in their parts as they have been commanding the franchise since the first movie and have a great fan base as well. But our hopes are pinned for the next Avengers movie to have these two characters shine.
But personally if you ask, Thanos played by Josh Brolin dominates the show. I have to admit that I had thought of him as a typical villain from MCU but the way scriptwriters have given an arc to his story, his objective and his mission to wipe off half of the universe has some sort of strength. There's also an emotional arc connected with his personality that would help him connect with the audiences more. This is a great feat for cinematic brilliance
Now comes to the best performance, it is certainly arguable and subjective because there are so many favourites in the film. It's very tough to choose one but let me be honest, the character and performance I am going to choose hasn't been my favourite. Infact, I don't know a squat about the character from her previous films because I haven't even seen them but her presence in this film with emotionally charged heart had a great impact on me as a viewer. I am talking about Gamora played by Zoe Saldana. (A little spoiler ahead, it is advisable that you watch the film instead) She relatively has a smaller role but the writers have invested greatly in her character. And Saldana is beyond superb. The way she faces her inner demons by facing her abusive adopted father. A father she had a troubled relationship with, Thanos also loves her deeply which takes the film to an all time emotional high.
Like I said earlier, that I haven't seen any of the Guardian of the Galaxy films (Too bad for me) It was still not difficult to understand what was happening in the film and Saldana is so effective in her scenes that she will make you forget that she is an actress with green make up on screen. Particularly, her last scene, she brings out her best and moves you within. Her performance alone is the highlight of this movie and this is one reason you should watch it. Rating : 5 Stars

Note : This is a short review of The Meg Movie Trailer that released today.
One of the longest awaited trailer of one of the most anticipated movie has finally arrived. That's right. The Meg Trailer has finally hit the Internet today and has taken the Internet by storm. The Meg is based on Author Steven Alten's book 'Meg - A Novel of Deep Terror'. The film stars Jason Statham who shall be waging a war against a big pre-historic Shark named 'Megalodon' which was believed to be extinct
This is the film's synopsis :
"A deep-sea submersible is attacked by a massive creature, previously thought to be extinct, and now lies disabled at the bottom of the deepest trench in the Pacific with its crew trapped inside. With time running out, expert deep-sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor is recruited by a visionary Chinese oceanographer to save the crew from this prehistoric threat."
TRAILER REVIEW
The Trailer of The Meg was very much awaited. Fans of the novel were dying to see how the trailer of the beloved movie churns out. Now that the trailer has released, it has garnered positive response from mostly fans but mixed response from a certain section of cinegoers. Coming to the trailer, there is absolutely no lack of action, thrill and excitement in this upcoming summer flick. The trailer looks badass and it seems fun. For more clarity on the plot, we might have to wait for another trailer but at this point we can just sit back and enjoy this rousing experience.
What we Liked
* The thrill. The build up and tension in the beginning of the Trailer is absolutely engaging and frightening. Takes the trailer to a all time high. * Great Acting : Whatever acting has been displayed by the principle cast looks promising after all every great film needs solid acting from its actors and it's no lesser than any achievement. * The Sharks : The shark errr...we guess there are two sharks (going by the new poster of the film) are having lots of fun. Chomp, Chomp, Chomp this is what the film is promising its audiences so the trailer is living up to that chaos. * Action : The action looks great, the helicopter scene and the one where the big shark is causing havoc on the surface is truly thrilling. Looking by the feel, it is certainly going to vow the audiences.
What we didn't like
* The MEG was supposed to be an answer to Jaws as there hasn't been any great film made on sharks that could follow. But after looking at the trailer, the makers have opted for a 'lighter summer popcorn blockbuster' rather than a 'serious horror Shark flick'. The horror element in the film is pretty much blank. It seems more of a action packed ride but we still hope the movie shall knock out all expectations.
* The CGI still needs a lot of work, let's be practical here. Given by the budget of the film, The sharks must look real and authentic. It is suggested that the work on the post-production for the movie is still on so we might get to watch a better product at the theaters. *Touchwood*
* The International Trailer packs more punch than the official Trailer released, mainly because the shorter version of the trailer has more action, tension and excitement. But you must check out both the trailers and decide for yourself which one would you prefer.
Note : This is a short movie review on the feature film.
Ahmed Khan's Directed Baaghi 2 which released last friday in theaters gives exactly what it promises from its trailers - An action packed ride. Starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in lead roles, the film is a Rambo Inspired Action junkie that is a full on entertainer. Don't expect it to be a great piece of filmmaking but its ultimately stylish and technically breathtaking. Tiger Shroff just cements the image of a True Action Star and he lives every bit of it on the screen.
Disha on the other hand doesn't have a commanding role as Tiger, but she compliments him really well which adds to the film's quotient. Other actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda etc have done fine job. Music is ok. Stunts and action choreography is jaw dropping. The script and screenplay goes through many highs and lows. Script wise, the movie does look weak and runs out of logic but in the end it succeeds as a massive entertainer which will please the crowds.
At the end, Baaghi 2 does have plot holes it doesn't come across as a great film for sure but what it does succeed is in the entertainment game, which the makers of the film were opting for. The film would work as a paisa vasool for most of the audiences and given by the reactions in theaters it seems that Baaghi 2 wave has won over the atmosphere already.
